Côtes-du-rhône is produced on the banks of the Rhône between Vienne and Avignon. The surface area under production is 44 000 hectares. Annual production is 1,2 million hectolitres on average (160 million bottles) and comes from 7 000 vineyards, which are on average 10 hectares in size. Only 2 000 of these are privately owned estate wineries; the rest is split up among cooperatives. Wine

Tasting note

Purple colour with crimson tinges. Explosive nose with wild strawberries and cocoa. Crunchy and easy-going mouth-feel with fine-grained tannins.


80% grenache, 10% syrah, 10% carignan.


Pebbly terrain with clay-limestone subsoil.

Temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
